Typical faults and what they mean
Cold weather salt tracking
Winter grit and de icing salt leave white bloom across entrance floors. Neutralising the salt before scrubbing stops the bloom coming straight back.
Sand in matting
Fine sand acts like sandpaper underfoot and cuts backing as well as pile. Frequent extraction of matting is the cheapest maintenance available.
Scratched and worn vinyl
Once a vinyl finish is worn through, cleaning stops improving the look. Re finishing is the honest answer, and it costs a fraction of relaying the floor.
Damp and musty smells after cleaning
A musty smell after a clean means the floor stayed wet too long. Airflow and heat during the dry down prevent it, which is why we plan drying rather than hope.

Do you work with facilities managers?
Regularly. A specification you can hand to an auditor is usually the first thing we agree, then the specification follows from that.
Can you clean stone and vinyl floors as well as carpet?
Hard floors are a large part of the business: scrubbing, stripping, sealing, honing and polishing depending on what the surface actually needs.
Are you insured?
We are, and we would expect you to check. Paperwork including insurance and risk assessments can be with you before anyone sets foot on site.
Will cleaning remove every mark?
No, and anyone promising that is guessing. Dye loss, bleaching and abrasion are permanent damage rather than soil. We tell you which category a mark falls into before we quote.
How often should a commercial carpet be cleaned?
Split the building into zones and clean each on its own cycle. Doorways and main routes quarterly, meeting rooms and quiet offices once or twice a year.
Do you move furniture?
Sofas, chairs and small tables get moved as part of the job. Anything heavy or full stays put and we clean up to it, which is noted on the quote so there are no surprises.
