Common complaints and fixes
Salt and damp marking
Coastal air keeps textiles damp for longer and leaves salt marks on matting. Air movers and longer dwell times are part of the plan rather than an extra.
Entrance grit
Most floor wear happens in the first two metres inside the door. Better matting cleaned more often saves more money than any cleaning specification.
Pet contamination
Urine is a three part problem: the salt, the bacteria and the odour. Surface cleaning treats none of them, so we treat to the depth of the contamination or we say it needs lifting.
Rubber heel marking
Black scuffing on vinyl and safety flooring is a surface deposit, not a scratch. It comes off with the correct pad and a suitable cleaner, and it comes back if the finish is worn.
Common questions
Can you give a price over the phone?
Usually yes for straightforward domestic work. For commercial jobs the site visit is free and stops both of us arguing about scope later.
Do you use chemicals that are safe around children and pets?
We select products for the fibre first and use the mildest chemistry that will do the job. Tell us about allergies, asthma or animals in the building and we will work around them.
What happens if we are not happy with the result?
We would rather come back than argue. Raise it within a few days and we will look at the area again at no cost.
Do you offer contracts or one off visits?
Both. Some sites want a scheduled programme with fixed dates, others want a deep clean once a year. Neither is treated as the lesser job.
How long will the carpet take to dry?
With hot water extraction, a few hours in a ventilated room is typical, longer in cold or humid conditions. If a fast return to service matters we use low moisture methods and air movers instead.
Can you clean out of hours in Blackpool?
Out of hours is the default for most business premises we clean. We can work to a key holding arrangement or be escorted, whichever your insurance prefers.
